Individual Donations

Widows Empowerment Programme, India: where each widow receives a sewing machine and training to make garments, it costs GBP £50 per widow. To Sponsor a Sewing Machine and Skills Training for a Widowed Woman please contact: info@theloombafoundation.org

Child Education Programme India: sponsor the education of the child of a widow, it costs GBP £75 per year, and typically the Loomba Foundation asks donors to sponsor a child for five years, the cost of which is GBP £300. To Sponsor a Child’s Education please contact: info@theloombafoundation.org

Advocacy – sponsor an International Widows Day Event. Each year the Loomba Foundation holds events around the world to mark United Nations International Widows Day to raise awareness of the difficulties widows and their children face and to call for action. Without the support of donors, progress in tackling the injustices faced by widows and their children cannot happen. To find out more please contact: info@theloombafoundation.org

- Regular Donations

We welcome any regular donations and these can be arranged via your bank. To find out more about how you can do this please get in contact.

You can of course donate money through your payroll or salary. This means it will be deducted at source and it is a very tax efficient way to donate money. If you live in the UK please visit this page to find out more. If you live outside of the UK and wish to do something similar please get in touch.

Corporate sponsorship

Corporate sponsors can arrange to support a group of widows on the sewing machine and garment making programme, or a group of children on the education programme, or an advocacy event at the United Nations or elsewhere.
